What's your story? That's my passion. Our stories tell us who we are, where we come from, how we came to be, and provide insights on what our futures may hold. Telling our personal stories deepens our awareness of ourselves, and listening to the stories of others connects us and creates community. I believe when we hear the stories of others with open hearts and compassion, it has the power to positively change us and the way we live in the world with greater empathy for others and for ourselves. Currently I'm working on a writing project exploring stories of religion and science, and how they evolve and shape who we are. My own story is shaped by studies of consciousness, philosophy and religion, managing large format films and traveling exhibits for science and history museums, creating theatrical productions behind the scenes, and as a facilitator working with individuals emerging their own transformative experiences and healing narratives. I'm nurtured in my surroundings by the emerald green beauty of the Pacific Northwest United States and inspired daily by the breath-taking spectacle of the tallest mountain in the Cascade range. My Appalachian roots run deep through a small town in West Virginia where I grew up in a loving community of family and friends, and I've had the pleasure of living in, and being engaged by, diverse communities across the U.S. My life story includes a variety of transformative life experiences, from academic exploration to physical healing, and I've learned first-hand how these events can transform a story and the way one understands life and lives in the world. I believe our lives are full of everyday transformations and unexpected dramatic events that we each use to continually weave our own stories of life and understanding and connection -- these are the stories I love.
