Life Beyond Diabetes was born from the lived experience of caring for a loved one with diabetes.
That journey sparked a deep passion to support others living with the condition and the people who care for them.
We do this out of love for our family, our community, and everyone navigating life with diabetes.
After walking alongside loved ones through the daily challenges of managing diabetes, we realised there’s still so much more needed: better support, greater awareness, and representation that truly reflects diverse voices, especially in Afro-Caribbean and other underrepresented communities.
We’re here to change the narrative to offer practical, relatable support, to raise awareness in a way that connects with lived experience, to empower people, whether born with type 1 or diagnosed later in life, to live confidently beyond their diagnosis
This is more than a charity.
It’s personal.
