Sarah Pohl

Hey, I'm Sarah Pohl. I studied biology, then worked in online marketing for a year and a half, before I did a PhD in bioinformatics. I enjoy programming in Python and in R for data analysis in my own projects and to assist others. On my tumblr, I've also compared data analysis methods in Python vs. R.

I've left academia and bioinformatics to work as a Data Engineer at MEDIQON, where we analyse and present data for hospitals to develop new strategies.

Since 2022, I'm also an Instructor and a Maintainer at The Carpentries. I know how important coding and data science skills are in research and I love being able to help others learn these skills.
