I was born in Houston, Texas, and moved to the Atlanta area when I was 8 years old. From a very young age, I loved school and knew that I wanted to be a teacher. I attended Georgia State University, where I received a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education, along with a Math and ESOL endorsement. While at Georgia State, I gained experience teaching grades Pre-K through 7th. I even got to study abroad in Chengdu, China! Shortly after graduation, I joined Gwinnett County Public Schools and taught Kindergarten for the 2009-2010 school year. In 2010, I had the honor to be one of the Museum School's founding staff members as a Kindergarten teacher. After 5 years in Kindergarten, I am excited to jump in to 2nd Grade!!! Since joining TMS, I earned a Gifted Endorsement and am currently pursuing a Masters of Education from Kennesaw State University.
I am so fortunate to be part of a neighborhood school that fosters and embraces a child’s natural instinct to explore and learn through their own experiences. I am so excited for TMS's 5th year and am looking forward to all of the exciting things that will come!
Just for Fun:
I am a fluent Spanish speaker and enjoy singing and playing guitar. I love Pinterest, organizing, cooking, traveling, and watching movies with friends and family! On my spare time, I enjoy taking walks with my pup Jasper.
