Lily J. Mills
Lily grew up in the middle of nowhere with no other kids around to run through the tobacco fields with her. Thus, instead of venturing outside, she hid in a cold, cement cell called "the computer room," where she learned to chat on ICQ and skin her Windows Media Player to look like a DeLorean.
In her attempt to feed both sides of her brain, Lily graduated from Trent University with a BA degree in Cultural Studies, minoring in Business Administration and specializing in Image, Sound and Performance. She also gained a certificate in Museum Management from Fleming College during that time.
She was selected as CBC Radio Toronto's Peter Gzowski Intern in 2007. Eventually she snuck over to CBC Radio Digital, where she served as "The Podcaster" for three years and then as the team's project manager from 2011-2012.
Today, she is the Web Content Manager and Digital Editor for Novus Health, coordinating the creation and renewal of online content designed to help Canadians navigate the health care system and access trusted health information.
Lily hopes to someday teach at a college or high school, meet a real live penguin and have more Twitter followers than you but still invite you to her birthday party.
