Lily s.m. Liu (劉聖美)

I am a fourth year student at McMaster University, studying Honours Life Sciences with a minor in Psychology.

I am fascinated by the mechanisms of tumour immunity and cancer biology. Research related to oncolytic immuno-therapies are of particular interest to me, as well as strategies for the prevention and control of infectious diseases.

Barring distractions, I can be seen recording my introspections onto my blog, collecting old coins/foreign bills and classic naphtha-based lighters, or deciphering the idiosyncrasies of the human species. I am a very DIY kind of person with an appreciation for frugality and practicality, preferring to build or revamp my own knick-knacks than to settle for the orthodox. My dreams include adopting a ferret and naming it Hippo(crates), promoting innovation in pedagogy, and practising emergency medicine in minority communities.

I also like to draw in my spare time.
