Hello, I’m Val. I’m an undergraduate student currently studying political science at Reed College in Portland, Oregon. I am interested in international security, peace, and innovation. I also enjoy theatre, photography, gardening, and learning in my spare time.

Most recently, I've worked on Kate Brown's 2018 gubernatorial campaign and in U.S. Senator Jeff Merkley's Portland constituent office. I also was a delegate at SCUSA 70 on the Breaking the Nuclear Taboo round table.

Currently, I am a nuclear reactor operator at the Reed Research Reactor, a lead teacher with Reed Science Outreach, and a signator of several student organizations. Additionally, I stage managed Oregon Adventure Theatre's 2018 production of Shakespeare's The Tempest.
