Owner/operator, Matthew Smith has had 20 years experience in filming Dance Eisteddfods and Concerts throughout Southeast Queensland and New South Wales. Over this time, Matthew has been the official video operator for over 11 different competitions and currently has 22 dance studios as concert clients.

Not only has Matthew been filming dance for a long time, he was also a performer himself, starting dance classes in Brisbane from the age of 9, and continuing for 10 years until he became the first student in Queensland to pass his Teachers Diploma for the Les Griffith Tap Dancing Academy. Matthew has basically lived most of his life either performing in Concerts, teaching tap classes, competing in Eisteddfods, or filming them! Matthew has the unique ability to shoot and mix multi-camera performances on the fly, resulting in the instant production of performances. No long editing time is required to edit the camera footage together. Through Matthews’s performance and entertainment background, he has a complete understanding of dance choreography and theatre etiquette.

Limelight Multimedia uses Full High Definition Cameras and equipment to record performances. High quality audio equipment is also used to capture live singing and tapping. Limelight Multimedia’s staff will liaise with theatre technicians to make sure stage lighting is to a high standard for recording.
