Marian Lindsay

I have been committed to education - both sides of it - since I was a very young child. I had numerous other life plans, as well - but "education" always stuck. I have not proceded through my life in an ordinary, linear way - but education never ceases to be needed to improve things for people (and for me).

As a teacher by training, I also have expertise and passion in: creativity, coaching & counselling, environmental issues, languages, cultures, "differences" & integration, community development, writing, music, information & referral, plant & animal care....I am good at honing in on what is needed, and helping people achieve their dreams & goals. I start from where people are, and build on their successes - I avoid focus on their perceived deficits. I inspire their trust, develop their insights and skills, & build confidence. I have truly changed people, from pre-school to seniors, from all over the world. And they have changed me, which I value more than I can express; but I try.
