With a passion for building software to enable people, Lincoln W Daniel is a full stack software engineer who puts a large focus on the goals of the user when designing software. Lincoln has worked at companies big and small. Receiving internship offers from companies like NASA JPL, he has worked at IBM and Medium.

During the summer after his Freshman year, to learn the LAMP stack, Lincoln developed a social marketplace for students like himself to buy and sell their belongings locally.

Lincoln spent his summer after sophomore year with IBM Watson developing a search framework from scratch. In that project, Lincoln's main contribution was the ranking system.

The next summer, Lincoln spent his time working at Medium on new features for publications. During that internship, Lincoln also spent some time working with the Trust & Safety team and built a feature to eliminate spam in a certain area of the platform.

Along with engineering, Lincoln is an avid writer and enjoys designing. During his winter break of Junior year, Lincoln wrote a book, Java for Humans, to teach beginners the basics of Java in a more enjoyable and human relatable manner. Java for Humans is being read and leveraged by thousands of beginners across the country to get started with the most widely deployed language.

On the topic of writing, Lincoln runs the largest publication on Medium for articles on topics related to business marketing and growth hacking: Marketing & Growth Hacking. Request to contribute through SuperMeditor.

After all is said and done, Lincoln hopes to have developed software to enable people to accomplish their goals more efficiently.
