Linda Jacobson

Teacher in Southwest Florida

I have been active in Southwest Florida Astronomy and Nature Education since 1979. I've worked with groups of up to 300 people during large events with non-profits, including Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary; "After Hours," CREW Land and Water Trust, The Bonita Nature Place, and with the Boy Scouts completing their Astronomy Merit Badge requirements.

I’ve offered community, individual, and Home School stargazing programs for students from third grade to adult. I’ve also instructed Astronomy classes as an Adjunct Instructor at the Community College level. I have worked for Spitz Space Systems as a "Ground Person" during the construction of (then) Junior Museum and Planetarium, which I later worked for as a Planetarium Astronomer.

I am available to develop and teach remote Stargazing programs for Homeschool and one on one instruction via Zoom. Since the Pandemic I have had to close my in-person Stargazing business which ran from 1979-2020. I am available to work remotely with others developing Stargazing and other Nature programs.
