Linda Terhune

I was born and raised in Southern California and I am still here. My heart's passion is to do God's work and spread the gospel to all nations. I became a Christian in 1977 and was baptized in 1978. Since that time I have worked in children's ministry and as a youth minister. I have grown to love Christ more and more as time passes. In the summer of 2010, I had an opportunity to go to Vietnam and teach English and share the gospel in a mission trip there. I fell in love with the people and the country. They are so giving, family centered and beautiful people. Since the moment I left I have had the strong never-ending desire to return to Vietnam and continue to work there and to do God's work. I plan on going back to Vietnam with some of my group members from 2010 - only this trip, I plan on staying for a year. I have found two additional needs in Vietnam. One is an orphanage without a sponsor. The children live in poor conditions and only about 10 percent have beds - the rest sleep on the floor. They need help in many areas including funding for medical attention (and it is very low cost in Vietnam). The other ministry is one that provides poor children and children with lepercy to attend school. Uniforms, food, schooling, board and exposure to God's Word is included in the scholorships. These scholorships are also very inexpensive as is most services and goods in the country. I am asking all who read this to prayerfully consider donating funds for my upcoming trip in 2012. I need to raise about $3,000 for the trip there & back, administrative costs for the organization sending me and to cover some living expenses for the year. I am also asking for prayer both before I leave in June 2012 and while the team and I are there. Please contact me with any questions, concerns or even if you just want to see some incredibly wonderful photos of the orphanage and other places in Vietnam! May God Bless you and thank you so much fory our prayerful consideration, In Him, Linda
