I've been married to my best friend, Mike, for 29 years; we live in Southern California and have three grown children, one of whom is married and has a little boy. I started homeschooling when our oldest began kindergarten in 1994 and continued to homeschool all three up through high school. My homeschooling journey ended when our youngest graduated from high school in 2011.

In 2000, I went back to school to finish my Bachelor's degree, and in 2007 I graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a BA in English. During my years homeschooling, I also taught various classes for different homeschool programs and in my home, mostly upper elementary history and Jr. High and High School literature and composition courses. After teaching and tutoring for a few more years and then working for a year in a local grocery deli, I was able to get a job as an admin assistant for a company that provides IT services. Now I have a regular, full-time job that I love working for a great company.

Our family is very involved in our church, and in my free time I love to explore new books, exercise, write book reviews for my blog, and watch movies with Mike or my mother-in-law who lives with us. We're having fun getting back into rockclimbing again now that the kids are raised.

Special Thanks...

To God for my husband and three kids; for granting me the patience and diligence to teach them at home over the years; and for the many opportunities I've had to grow and learn through my teaching experience. Also thankful for the great life I'm now enjoying!
