Linda Gidley

Williston, North Dakota

A native of Michigan, I moved to North Dakota for six months after my husband was asked to manage a special project here. We lived in ND in the late 90's and are amazed by the changes brought by the oil boom. My partner of nearly 47 years provides adventure, laughter, and fun every day.

I have three grown children and three fabulous grandchildren. They light up my life!

Reading ranks highest for hobbies with the community library first on my list of local attractions. With that interest I have volunteered with local reading programs.

I'm a Master Gardener, with special interest in herbs. I enjoy volunteering at Federik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park (put it on your must-see list). Junior Master Gardeners, valuable program for kids, also provides a great place for volunteers.

Knitting, which I learned from one of my six sisters (I have one brother) has been a great hobby. Sewing consumed my spare time for years, but that hobby has been replaced by computer technology fun.

One of those six sisters, author Liesa Malik, inspired me to produce a Wordpress Blog. Be sure to see her latest book, Faith on the Rocks.

I've lived in Iowa (9 years), South Dakota (6 years), Wisconsin (2 years), Nebraska (1 year) besides my native Michigan.
