Linda Lee

Speech Language Pathologist in Michigan

My name is Linda Lee, and I live with my family in the woods of lower Michigan. I have been alive for a half-century now, and married to my supportive and faithful husband Tom for a quarter-century. Our four children fill our lives with laughter, tears, joy, frustration, and never-ending adventures. Although our little nest in the woods is half empty now, it still feels very full.

I have found (as I'm sure every parent has) the challenges of child-rearing to be overwhelming at times. Our wildness has included ADHD, anxiety, scoliosis, and now type 1 diabetes (to name the big ones). We couldn’t have tackled any of these without our loving family, loyal friends, a supportive church and the faith that God is in control. Although there is a wildness to life with its unexpected turns, we are filled with wonder at the joys we continue to find around every bend. We wonder at the resilience of our kids and the zest for life that is unwavering even through tough times. As Michael Card sang, "There is a joy in the jouney...a wonder and wildness to life."

In addition to my main, present roles as “Mom" and wife, I am also a speech language pathologist, a gardener, a back yard bird watcher, a knitter, a scrapbooker, a musician of sorts, a reader (when I have time), and a traveler. And with the start of my blog, Wildness & Wonder, I guess you could also call me a writer. I hope there's "a light I can spread on the way."
