I am a studio trained pro makeup artist with more than twenty years in the beauty and fashion industry. I discovered a love for color and it's immense ability to be transformed when I was still in grade school. I had interests in writing and photography as well but I longed for a future as a true makeup artist.To gain the exposure and experience I needed I began working for Estee Lauder, cosmetics giant and a pioneer in the beauty trade. While achieving a multitude of skin care knowledge through this venture, it wasn't long before the color "bug" hit me and I moved to Prescriptives. This is where I learned color theory and custom blending techniques. I soon reached the status of working as a staff artist for the elite brand M.A.C Cosmetics. While working for several years in the retail field I began to develop a need to be more independent in my creative process and followed into the profession of a freelance career. I soon began working with the celebrity loved brand SMASHBOX.But looking further, as I often do, I took the "people skills" I had become proficient in and along with several of my associates formed the partnership of L.A. LUXEADDICTION, a network of industry professionals. We enlisted the talented roster of makeup artists, photographers and stylists. Now that I have found myself in the cornerstone of the film industry in Los Angeles I have also teamed up with the Jenny Karl Hair and Makeup Agency, in which I collaborate on fashion photo shoots as well. As we progress we will work towards building a network of dedicated artists and offer them the opportunities to express their visions by utilizing their inventive efforts. As the pull of color and texture are a mainstay in my life so has been the inner desire to create, describe and influence using words.With that came the opportunity to converge with Vigore' Magazine an online fashion publication geared towards the exposure of up and coming and expressly valuable talent. So far I have contributed to three issues of VIGORE' with a total of six featured articles and accompanying photo spreads. Many of my interview subjects have included rising fashion wonder stars such as, NY based designers Leila Shams and Marco Hall. I had the pleasure of getting to know and honestly reveal the man behind NY Couture Fashion Week, Andres Aquino and Chicago based fine artist Gigi Arroyo. As a feature writer I am able to consistently express and explore, through interview, many genres
