Linda Bradfield

I am a Foundation Phase Teacher at St John's Pre-Preparatory School in Johannesburg, South Africa. I am resposible for integrating ICT skills into the curriculum. My passion is project-based learning incorporating 21st Century skills in an exciting, challenging and stimulating way for these little boys. After winning the South African and Pan-African Microsoft Innovative Teacher's Forums in 2010, I was a semi-finalist in the global event held in Cape Town in November.

I began my career in ICT teaching in 1986 when IBM set oour school up with PS1 computers that only took floppy discs - they had no hard drive. In 1994, I moved to Brescia House School where I was given the privelege of setting up a brand new ICT Suite. With our 25 XT's, I began to integrate IT into the curriculum - it was great fun!! I have held my present position since January 2000 and it is during this time that the greatest changed in the ICT's has come about
