Linda Alley

Hi, I’m Linda, an English Language Teacher and Writing Coach.

I work with non-native English speakers who have an intermediate to advanced level of English. I specialise in helping students develop their writing skills, whether you are writing for work, writing academic essays or looking for creative writing tasks to help you improve your grammar and vocabulary.

I can also assist you with Cambridge exam preparation for IELTS, B2 First or C1 Advanced.

I have been teaching English as a Second Language for over 10 years in Australia and overseas. I like to be encouraging and supportive to students, but I am honest about the things you need to work on - I am there to help you improve, after all!

My experience includes teaching English language courses at well-known Australian universities. I have also worked as an Exam Interlocutor for the Occupational English Tests (OET).

My career has also taken me to Spain where I provided business communication coaching and workshops to international companies such as Brother, Repsol and the Bank of Spain.

While I was living in Madrid, I studied Spanish, so I know what it is like when you want to express yourself in your second language but cannot find the right words.

I’m based in Melbourne, but as my sessions are online, we can still work together if you live outside of Australia.
