Linda Conrad
I am an appellate attorney with Law Office of Linda J. Conrad (www.norcalappeals.com). I am certified as an appellate specialists by the California State Bar Association Appellate Specialization Program, and trained as appellate mediators through the Third District Court of Appeal. I also completed 40 hours of mediation training through Pepperdine University's Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution. As an attorney for over 40 years, I handled complex civil litigation cases, personal injury cases as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel, family and business law litigation, and family and civil appeals. I am a past president of California Appellate Defense Counsel. I am a founder and former president of Kern County Women Lawyer's Association and former president of the HomeSchool Association of California.
I am a fifth generation California native, married to a lawyer, and we have four children and two grandchildren. I have lived throughout California from San Diego to Redding along the coast and throughout the Central Valley. I know I-5 intimately after traveling with my children in our RV (“Little School on the Asphalt”) while attending varies sporting and musical activities and homeschooling. Our family finally settled in Davis, not far from UC Davis, where the weather is always great, the students are always engaging, and the thriving community is always lively and inspiring.
My four homeschooled children are grown, graduated from college (including three UC grads), are law school graduates, now lawyers, two have master's degrees, one is a political strategist and one Public Policy analyst. They are in committed relationships with equally accomplished people. I am happy that my children all continue to be self-motivated and self-educated in the spirit of our homeschooling model.
