Huntington House was purchased in 1977 as a derelict building and has been transformed through the work of Marilyn Hoare, the founding director of the nursing home. By her side was maintenance man Jimmy, and between them they managed to transform the building into the stunning nursing home you see today. The property was renovated over a 3 month period by Marilyn and Jimmy, who took great care to conserve the many original Victorian features of the building.

As a nursing home, Huntington House provides a beautifully designed space that is relaxing and homely for residents. The quality of care and the emphasis on resident wellbeing is what really sets Huntington House apart. Bordering three counties (Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire) Huntington House is ideally placed to offer care to the elderly community within easy access of their families. The expertise of the staff here is second to none and the residents thoroughly enjoy spending time with them.

Marilyn continues to run Huntington House, with her husband Geoff, their son Charlie and daughter Sarah. They are all Directors of this family-run business, and share the same vision to provide the best possible care for the older members of their community.

The Hoare family continually strive to create the perfect care home with ongoing improvements and innovations to both the building and the service of care they, and their team, provide.
