Female. 20. Canadian. Studying in GA, USA!

Some interesting facts about me:

- I've lived in Canada for my entire life but I picture myself settling down and working somewhere warm, like California. The warmer Georgia climate is part of the reason why I decided to come to university in the United States.

- I love travelling and learning in new places all around the world. I've travelled to eastern Canada, southern US, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Cuba, France, Belgium, Poland, Germany, England, Ireland, and the Netherlands.

- I run a Youtube channel in my spare time which I hope to make into a profitable way of demonstrating my fondness for cameras, editing, fashion, and pop culture.

My path at UGA:

- I started at UGA as an undeclared pre-Business major and I soon realized that it wasn't the right fit for me. I had no idea of what I wanted to do with my life, but I knew that economics and accounting were NOT the path I wanted to follow.

- Half way through my sophomore year, I decided to research more majors online and came across Grady, College of Journalism. I decided to become an Advertising major and applied in the summer of 2013.

- I was accepted to Grady as an Advertising major while I was studying abroad at the University of Oxford through UGA at Oxford. The 3 months I spent at Oxford were INCREDIBLE and I hope to return to the city in the future because it was an amazing experience.

- Currently I am starting my 2-year plan of studying through Grady, and I definitely feel like studying some aspect of Journalism is where I'm meant to be.

The future:

- I will be applying to take part in a Grady internship which takes place in LA, California over summer 2015. I hope that I will be accepted so that I can both study the career path I am interested in and be exposed to the area of the world I imagine myself residing in the future.

- The internship program is focused on the entertainment industry and telecommunications, which may result in a change of major if I end up liking this side of the industry more than advertising.

- I will be applying to a summer study abroad program in New York for the Maymester of 2014, focusing on advertising and PR.

- I see myself working in fashion- or entertainment-journalism in the future. I enjoy being both in front of and behind the camera, so we shall see where my interests take me.
