Lindrit Shkodra

I was born on August 17, 1994 in Diber, Macedonia. I lived in Diber Macedonia as well as Gjilan, Kosovo up until I was the age of four. In the year 1999, my family and I were living in Gjilan, Kosovo at the time which is where my dad is from. This is the year my dramatically changed. That year a war broke out between Serbia and Kosovo. My parents decided that this was not the life they wanted their kids (my brother and I) to live. Luckily for us, Bill Clinton had sent a refugee plane in which we boarded and came to America. This was a key moment in my life because it is a key reason I am the man I am today. My dad was a lawyer in Gjilan and my mom was an accountant in Diber. Both of them sacrificed their jobs in order for my brother and I to have a better lifestyle in America. Upon coming to America, the United States did not recognize my parent's education and thus my mom and dad started out as custodians.
