I received my Master's degree in Biological Sciences in 2014 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Following graduation, I accepted a position as Adjunct Faculty at Metropolitan Community College- Maple Woods campus in Kansas City, MO. I now serve as full-time biology faculty for Neosho County Community College in Chanute, KS. Educational research and science outreach are primary areas of interest. As learning is a life-long process, I enjoy sharing science with students and with the public. I am particularly interested in the use of social media in the science classroom and as a medium to reach public audiences.
