Lindsay Dressen

Hi, there! I'm Lindsay Dressen, an aspiring writer, digital media junkie, and have a high interest in media relations. I am a senior magazine journalism major with a minor in sociology with a concentration in gender studies at Drake University in Des Moines, IA graduating in December, 2013.

Currently, I am working at Dwolla, an emerging mobile and online payment network headquartered in Des Moines, as their communications and marketing intern. I started with them in February 2013, and will continue to intern through my last semester at Drake gaining knowledge of media relations, brand development and evangelism, marketing and general communications.

I have been involved with Drake Magazine since my freshman year. My junior year I took a leap and helped revamp the online version. I was the Executive Editor of the student-ran, 2012 online magazine Pacemaker winner Drakemagazine.com.

I have had various internships and worn several different hats in the process of my schooling with the Chanhassen Rotary, Collegelifestyles.org, BringMeTheNews, and Modern Luxury. Through all of the experiences I have grown as a journalist, and as an individual. As a Minnesota native, I stuck around the Midwest for my two first summers of college. In the summer of 2012, I traveled to Chicago to explore the world of digital media with Modern Luxury as their digital assistant.
