Aesthetician, Small Business Owner, and Psychologist in Georgia

Hi, my name is Lindsay Lavelanet. I love watching sports and keeping myself busy. My love for sports started when I was a little kid, and my dad would take me to basketball games and baseball games. Watching different games and athletes play intrigued me. As I grew more interested in different sports, I started playing a few; I tried soccer, basketball, gymnastics, cheerleading, dance, tennis, and swimming. Slowly, I realized I enjoyed watching basketball and soccer a lot more than I liked playing them, as I did not like sharing the ball, but preferred to take charge. I became good at tennis, even winning a few neighborhood tournaments, but after getting hit in the face with a racket from standing too close to another player, I let go of playing the sport. I loved gymnastics, dance, and cheerleading, but I am not a naturally flexible person, and I do not have good rhythm, so those sports did not work out for me. After trying many sports, swimming was my favorite. I learned to swim at two years old and started competitively swimming around six years old. I fell in love with being in the water and swam competitively until my senior year of high school. Swimming in high school made me fall out of love with the sport, as it became more of a chore than a hobby that I enjoyed. Swimming is still one of my favorite things to do, but I've realized I truly enjoy watching sports more than I like playing.
