20th Century Fox's animated television catalogue is the brand that I identify with the most. My three favorite series include Family Guy, Bob's Burgers, and The Simpsons. Family Guy, as well as The Simpsons, gauge my interest in their lampooning of American culture in a manner that embodies wit and sophistication. Bob's Burgers, on the other hand, provides a great balance of family and workplace comedy, a relatively novel pursuit for an animated sitcom. Animation is not hindered by the physical boundaries that live action is faced with, and thus provides a more fantastical escapism elapsing shorter than 30 minutes for each episode. These comedic enterprises often extend beyond their drawn lines to provide a tongue-in-cheek, albeit informative, commentary on the human condition. It is these attitudes, combined with cunning literary and metaphorical wordplay, that make 20th Century Fox's animation the most compelling endeavor to watch on television today.
