Hi. I'm a community engagement, social media, and marketing specialist with a background in visual art.
I recently wrapped up a role managing an office of alumni relations and organizing and marketing a huge annual gala fundraiser for a non-profit arts institution in order to pursue new creative opportunities.
Prior to my role at San Francisco Art Institute and immediately after completing my Master of Fine Arts at California College of the Arts, I managed the social media for the mobile shopping app shopkick, growing the startup's presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest. Prior to this I spent five years working in alumni relations at CCA, building connections between artists, designers, writers, architects, and entrepreneurs. I have worked in luxury retail and also had a summer internship in marketing and partnership for the launch of Microsoft's Windows Live Spaces.
As an artist, I create installations, paintings, and sculptures influenced by geology (read about my trip to Iceland) and everyday detritus. I get to play with process, crystallize salt, and build spaces filled with beads of condensation influenced by the humidity from my home state of Florida and unknown histories that leave traces in the discard materials I reuse. View my artwork and other creative projects at lindseylyons.com. Please get in touch if you are interested in commissioning a painting or other work. Thanks!
