Lindsey Pogue, Author Adventure, Romance, New Adult
Napa Valley, California
I'm an adventure/romance/new adult author. I've always been a little...quirky. When I was a kid, I helped establish a bug hospital on my elementary school soccer field (none of the insects survived, unfortunately) and as a teenager I preferred writing to being very social. I wrote my first new adult manuscript in high school before "new adult" was even a genre, and I've been writing stories of love and friendship, history, and adventure ever since. I dislike categorizing my writing as "romance" because I feel like what I'm trying to convey through my characters and story is so much more than that. But, alas, it is what it is.
When I'm not plotting my next storyline or dreaming up new, brooding characters, I'm usually wrapped in blankets watching my favorite action flicks, reading, eating Mexican food, or going road tripping with my own leading man. My fiance has helped provide me the space I've needed to explore the stories bubbling to life inside my mind. He's also inspired the many book boyfriends strutting around inside my head, waiting to be written onto page.
We live in the Napa Valley with our rescue cat, Beast, and on the days I'm not fundraising at a local non-profit, I'm brainstorming my next solo project or chatting with readers.
