Lindsey Rowe Parker

Lindsey is a Public relations professional, social media aficionado, amateur photographer and philanthropy enthusiast with experience in creating successful innovative marketing and media strategies and managing special event coordination and production for charity, industry and celebrity events. She relocated from Los Angeles to Virginia to work with Operation Smile, a dream come true.

Lindsey is the Producer and Publicist for Gwapa (Beautiful), a feature documentary following a remarkable Filipino family and their inspiring journey to help their three children with facial deformities. Gwapa (Beautiful) is the winner of IndieWire’s “Project of the Month” contest for December 2011, winning a consultation with the Sundance Institute. It is also the focus of many articles on prestigious websites like Take Part, Film Courage, Kidult, and Mubi Garage, just to name a few. Gwapa (Beautiful) is currently in post-production and is expected to hit the festival circuit Summer 2014.

Lindsey has two adopted siblings with cleft palates and has witnessed first hand the struggle that children with clefts and their families endure. She has also experienced the resilience and spirit of those same children who are able to overcome their challenges and has been inspired by them to bring awareness to this cause. Serendipitously, the surgeons featured in Gwapa (Beautiful) are her adopted siblings surgeons, a touching fact that she was unaware of until she signed on to produce this project.

Lindsey is currently Social Media and Communications at Operation Smile and the Board Chair for YNPN Hampton Roads.
