I am a third year Ph.D. student in Computer Science (Bioinformatics). I like my research area that developing and applying computer techniques to solve biological problems; other than that, I am also passionate in teaching.

In January, I am going to teach CMPT 115: Principles of Computer Science (~130 students) which I have taught in a summer term (30 students) two years ago. Although the class material hasn't changed a lot, the much larger class size makes teaching challenging!

Beijing, China is my home town where my husband and I grew up and met each other. We have a lovely daughter who is 4 years old named April. She has an invisible English/Chinese switch, and whenever she goes into the daycare, she turns her English swich ON ;-) Like lots of Saskatooners, we also like and try to bike (one hour to the university, 65 min to the daycare and 70 min to my husband's company) 2 to 3 days a week to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air in beautiful summer. I am fascinated in cooking, mostly Chinese food. My husband and I like watching movies on weekends after my daughter fell asleep.

Look forward to meeting everyone soon!
