Lin

Entrepreneur and Business Owner in Raleigh, North Carolina

Lin Honeycutt, who is 65, has been running them for 20 and 30 years each. Mr. Honeycutt is a driven person, and he was self-employed right out of the gate. He has been an entrepreneur for most of his life. Both companies do very well in Raleigh, and The Holiday Light Store is very popular all over the country.

Mr. Honeycutt has an Associate's Degree in Auto Mechanics and was given $10,000 for being one of the top 10 mechanics in the United States. This is what the City of Raleigh has to say about Honeycutt Transmission: "It's the best in the business."

Having been a missionary in 20 states and around the world as a Southern Baptist, Mr. Honeycutt is very proud of what he has done. He has been a member of NC Baptist Men for more than 30 years. In the last 10 years, he has held a number of church leadership roles with the Raleigh Baptist Association. They say he has preached the word of God in more than 20 churches, as well as built homes and churches with his own two hands in four different places outside of the United States. It turns out that Mr. Honeycutt is in charge of recovery in Region 4 for the Sandy Creek Baptist Association, which in turn serves Southern Baptist Disaster Relief as an Operation Site.

As a result of Hurricane Katrina, he helped the North Carolina Baptist Men's Association with disaster relief. He also helped when tornadoes hit Wake County in April of 2011.

As well as working in the garage, Lin Honeycutt likes to collect cars, ski, and grow hay when he's not there. When he's not at work, he likes to spend time with his wife of 31 years and their two daughters, as well as their three grandchildren. If you live in Raleigh, North Carolina, at Christmas, you can go to Mr. Honeycutt's farm and see over 1 million Christmas lights that he put up.
