Ron started in Paris in the summer 2011 as the correspondent for NOS, Dutch Public Broadcasting.

He has been US Correspondent for NOS since 2004, reporting on US Presidential elections in 2004 and 2008, hurricane Katrina in 2005 and the Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver in2010.
