I believe that people all know now how important backlinks are for the search engine position success of our web site. I also think that all of us know now that one way to get these backlinks is by doing link deals with other sites. (For the inexperienced, backlinks are links on other web sites that point to ours.)

But do we realize that there are many things we have to check before agreeing to exchanging links with still another website? In the end, the whole point of trading links with others will be to take advantage of the rating of their web internet sites. It's for that reason essential that individuals investigate in advance concerning whether exchanging links with yet another site would be to our advantage or not.

I have considered this whole notion of link exchange planning and came up with a process that involves an examination of 3 pages of the web site we should exchange links with. The 3 pages are:

- where we shall have to check 7 reasons for that page your home page,

- the index page: this is actually the site that contains a set of classes that the website has put together in a bid to prepare its link exchanges. We must check 7 things here,

- the backlink page: this is the page that may contain our backlink. We also have to check always 7 things here.

Observe that sometimes, the 'target' site will not have a directory site. If so, our analysis is a one in the place of a 3-step one.

In this first article, of could be 2 or 3, we can examine the 7 things (organized in 2 groups) we must check about the webpage of the target site.

1. We need to check what Google thinks of-the site. To get one more way of interpreting this, please consider having a view at: linkjuicemaximizer.com. This can be done by considering some items that Google is very happy to report a few site. The idea here is to see if there are any problems with the website, from Google's viewpoint, that could cause us to determine not to exchange links with them.

I suggest that people seem at:

a) how many pages does the website have listed? This is often done through the use of 'site:www.site.com' inside the Google search box,

b) just how many backlinks does
