Ive done some tests within the last month or two about expiring domains with PR to see if it's worth your while to find these expired and deleted domains.
My idea why I'd want to use expired domains is the idea that old domains are favored than new domains, and to have instant PR.
So I set out to find deleted areas with PR that I will register. One characteristic of domains I was searching for was that the site still had a, and it was still shown in google.
I won't be mentioning the particular domains here as I need to handle the results and prevent folks from building backlinks to these domains. Discover more on the affiliated use with - Click here: linklicious vs.
I registered about 4 areas, some have PR2 and PR3. Some have a few pages found, some have a few thousand. This unique linklicious.me alternatives article directory has endless poetic suggestions for how to study this concept. I also ordered several new domains for my new projects.
I learned that google rarely trips these domains so I want to perfect it but with some fresh backlinks. After making some backlinks to these domains, two their PR was eventually lost by domains. Both of these areas have just a few pages listed in google. In one single domain, I did so a 301 permanent redirect to the new index page. This site retained its PR. One important huge difference this domain has compared to the other two is that this domain has tens and thousands of pages indexed in google.
In still another domain, I did so a 301 and redirect it to a brand new domain. The result is that the new domain got indexed faster and more pages were indexed compared to another new domain I registered at the same time. Nevertheless, PR was down to 0.
There is also an incident where I did so a 301 redirect from a vintage deleted domain with PR and never got any benefit from it.
To conclude, there is still inconsistent results on whether buying deleted/expired domains. Some works, some dont. But, what seem to work is that
a. Old delete domains does incorporate traffic from existing backlinks. Some traffic does be still generated by it, if the old site has a great deal of backlinks.
W. Other search-engines such as yahoo and msn don't appear to have an biases against expired/deleted domains..
