Linné Garrett
Creative Director, Brand Strategist, and Designer in Northern California
Design is how brands speak.
Strategy is the foundation on which they stand.
I help teams find their signal—turning research into a story we can act on, then building the system around it so campaigns, content, and digital touchpoints work as one. The aim is simple: clarity people can feel and use.
My path began in publication design, with work for Science News and the Smithsonian Institution. Since then, I’ve led strategy-driven creative across brand systems, web/UX, campaigns, and editorial—partnering with leadership to align goals and bring work to market on time. I also write and edit to brand voice to keep story and system connected across channels.
At VCU, I studied with Philip B. Meggs, renowned design historian and author of A History of Graphic Design. One idea stayed with me: design reflects its moment and moves it forward. That belief shapes my approach—strategic, human, and intent on outcomes that endure.
I’m currently open to full-time roles (on-site/Greater Sacramento, hybrid, or remote), contract collaborations, and select brand projects. For opportunities, please connect with me on LinkedIn (@linnegarrett).
