Linn Wheeling
Association Executive in Orlando, Florida
Throughout my career of 14 years I’ve had the exceptional privilege of working with volunteer leaders from around the globe to realize remarkable success in advancing organizational vision and strategic objectives for global professional and trade membership organizations. A proven entrepreneur and innovative business leader with P&L accountability in excess of $5 million and an established track record for increasing market awareness and adoption of member programs, products and services.
Vision driven – mission aligned are just two critical elements in championing volunteer success. It is equally important to nurture and develop a full complement of skills and abilities to enable them successfully contribute. I am proud of my legacy of implementing progressive leadership curriculum programs at every organization I’ve served - throughout North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia and Middle East – creating a cadre of volunteers for every level in all geographies.
I am an active member of American Society of Association Executives, holding the Certified Association Executive (CAE) professional credential since 2002. Little known fact – I was the first CAE at PMI thanks to their dedication and commitment to professional development. I will receive my MBA from Southern New Hampshire University in 2016, and hold degrees in Journalism and Political Science from the University of Idaho.
In my spare time I enjoy tackling handy-man projects. Never underestimate the power of a woman – or a 120V electrical socket. I tackle tiling as a geometry exercise – and relish when I get it right. I also ride to clear my head – on either a motorbike or cycle. Both do the trick.
