I'm a PhD candidate at James Cook University and while I completed an undergraduate degree in marine biology, I now study environmental social science. My research topic and the extra-curricular skills are all about improving the communication of science to natural resource stakeholders. Over the past few years, my research has focussed on fisheries stakeholders. However, both my research and skills can be applied to a wide range of people.
When I have a moment to breathe, I'm a fanatical fly fisherman, tie excessively intricate flies, feed my pet snakes and also do scientific illustrations (www.petrifiedpencils.com).
