Lisa Barnett is a Partner at Sherpa Foundry (sister entity to Sherpa Capital). At Sherpa, Lisa focuses her time working with startups to help them scale and grow by connecting them with the world's top corporations for investment, partnership, and M&A deals.
Previously, Lisa helped lead the growth strategy for Estee Lauder Companies. Her focus was taking their traditionally offline, department-store brands and building out a digital strategy for customer acquisition and engagement. As part of this, Lisa also developed partnerships with emerging technologies and startups to help power their multi-channel growth efforts. Lisa also spent time at the Boston Consulting Group working with top retail and healthcare technology clients helping them to grow by entering new markets and customer segments, and redefining the customer experience.
While pursuing her Wharton MBA, Lisa also worked as an investor at Maveron, a consumer tech fund, and at Dorm Room Fund, where she was a Partner sourcing and investing in student-run startups. She focused on all things consumer and retail – consumer apps, marketplaces, e/m-commerce, and enabling technologies.
Lisa also serves on the advisory board of Dualitas, an SF-based jewelry e-commerce startup, LaunchPad, a suite of accelerators in New York, and Start. Stay. Grow., an organization focused on promoting tech and innovation in Philadelphia. In 2016, she was elected as a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy.
Lisa holds a Bachelors of Arts with Honors in Communication and Marketing from the University of Pennsylvania, where she also graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with the top scholar-athlete accolades as a member of the Varsity Cross Country and Track teams.
