I'm 56 going on 90. I hate Parkinson's with unbridled passion. I hate the fact that my BFF & sister is dying of cancer and there's not a damn thing I can do about it. I hate alldisease in others (have no problem tolerating my own - Behcet's...sort systemic vasculitis with plentiful bouts of meningitis). I HATE. So, what do I love? I LOVE my family, people, God's beautiful creation (when it's...er...beautiful...).

And I love PASSION. i.e, as in its origin: 'to suffer for'.

That said, it's pretty much is in my face. My hubby Pete, had DBS in 2012. Even though I consider ourselves well informed, nothing prepared us for that. This brought about the question: do other Pders & families really know....there's no time, nor resourses (in all ways) left by that point.

So I set out to write a paper that would be a one-stop shop for education in this matter. After two papers (rolled by a couple hundred Neuro-Everythings via LinkedIn), my connections deemed my work 'good'. This is pivitol. Without their kudos, I haven't a hope in Hades of respectability.

My mission now is getting it out to the PATIENTS! That's proving to be a lot tougher....
