I teach basic communication, literacy and computer skills to newly-arrived teenage English language learners in northern Virginia. I encourage them to take steps to participate in their adopted communities, and support them as they set and achieve new goals, focusing on three topics: adapting to change, using resources, and positive attitudes. I love my job!
