Hi, my name is Lisa Prevatt. I have spent the past twenty years educating students in the elementary grades. I have a passion for creating interesting learning experiences for students. I aspired to earn a Master's Degree in Educational Media Design and Technology because I would like to start creating educational media. I have extensive background in elementary curriculum, and the new Common Core Standards. Many of the standards require students to use researching skills, higher reasoning skills, and become independent thinkers. The technology age is apparent in every aspect of our social world, and it is important for our instructional materials to reflect these changes. My experience has given me the opportunity to observe students and have a firm idea of what they find motivating. I would like to use my experiences and earned knowledge to create Educational Media that will motivate students to want to achieve more than what is thought possible.
