A highly trained healthcare professional possessing a diversity of experience in her field, Dr. Lisa Aptaker began preparing for her medical career as a premedical student at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where she received a bachelor of science in psychology. While at Brown University, Dr. Lisa Aptaker qualified for the Rackle Memorial Scholarship due to her academic accomplishments. Following her undergraduate education, she gained acceptance to the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City, where she earned a doctor of medicine with special distinction for research. Following graduation from medical school, she was accepted to Yale University to complete a medical internship. Dr. Lisa Aptaker then completed her OB/GYN residency at a program in association with Seton Hall University and St. Michaels Medical Center. Dr. Lisa Aptaker subsequently participated in two educational programs, the first being at Columbia University's Mailman School of Public Health where she received a Masters in Public Health (MPH). Dr. Lisa Aptaker later was accepted to Pepperdine University's Grazadio School of Business and Management where she received a Masters in Business Administration (MBA). While at Pepperdine, Dr. Lisa Aptaker also received a certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute through the Law School.
Dr. Lisa Aptaker continues to be active in OB/GYN and primary care continuing medical educational activities (CME's) in order to keep up her knowledge and skills as a physician. Most recently, Dr. Aptaker has joined the AAGL (the American Association of Laparoscopists) which promotes education and training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. She also attended a two-day AAGL conference in New York which included hands-on activities and lectures given by leading academic experts in this field. Dr. Aptaker also recently attended Pri-Med's Regional Conference in New York which included a day of Primary Care Updates. The lectures consisted of a variety of internal medicine and women's health topics with many clinical cases presented by leading medical experts. Dr. Aptaker also keeps up with the most current women's health information through her weekly participation in the OB/GYN Grand Rounds Lectures through St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Additionally, she often participates in internet provided medical educational activities as well.
