I am about 13% finished with a Doctorate in chiropractic medicine but I am not currently enrolled. So much to do in life! How does anyone choose just one path?! This is demonstrated in her current leadership role as Founder and Coordinator of Friends from the Underground, a networking and business educational group in DuPage County, Illinois. In addition to active social marketing, Lisa’s focus is consulting with entrepreneurs and principals of start-ups, as well as teaching adults how to use social media platforms more effectively for business. She also enjoys website design and development, employing her visual creative talents and graphics skills. While Lisa’s background is far more entrepreneurial and academic than conventional, her more traditional skills stem from her experiences including: public relations for Caterpillar Fuel Systems; owner-operator of a desktop publishing company with clients including Fuji Photo Film USA, The Prudential and many local companies; sales and marketing; event coordination and production; teaching assistant and community educator; research assistant; editor of several corporate and scholarly publications; photographer; and, key-customer service coordinator in a manufacturing environment. Lisa completed her bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences in December 2008 with additional credits in psychology. She earned numerous academic scholarships, awards and distinctions including Phi Theta Kappa, Sigma Kappa Delta, Dean’s and President’s lists, and a President’s Excellence Award. She also has completed 30+ credit hours of first professional doctorate-level study in biomedical sciences. Lisa considers herself a life-long learner and has a passion for educating adults in a manner best-suited to the individual student’s learning style.
