Lisa Goodman
Los Angeles, California, United States
Lisa Goodman grew up in Detroit, Michigan and remembers Geraldine Page in “A Christmas Memory” as the first acting performance that inspired her as a girl. The only thing was, at the tender age of six, young Lisa had no idea that Geraldine’s character wasn’t a real person. After her father cleared things up for her, that was it. Lisa knew she wanted to do the same thing. She got her chance in high school, appearing in her first stage play, “The Music Man". Her foundation in theater continued after she graduated from the University of Michigan and moved to New York, acting in several plays off-Broadway (Manhattan Theatre Club, American Place Theatre, Ensemble Studio Theatre) and in renowned theaters across the country (Arena Stage, Long Wharf, Actors Theatre of Louisville). After her move to Los Angeles, Lisa performed in "Helsignor" with the Ensemble Studio Theatre-LA, "Stop Kiss" with the Lounge Theater, and “Our Town”, which starred Helen Hunt, at The Broad Stage.
Lisa’s true passion, since that first moment she fell in love with the idea of acting as a child, has always been performing for the screen. Her talent has landed her comedic and dramatic roles in a variety of feature-length and short films such as "Revolution" (Outfest-2011), "Three Sides” (Columbia Gorge International Film Festival, Buffalo Niagara International Film Festival) and "Conviction". Her most recent projects have garnered impressive recognition, with “Raymond and Lane” being named “Web Series of the Week” in 2015, and the 2015 selection of the film “Mother and Brother” in the Arizona International Film Festival.
Lisa most recently played a crack-addicted mother in the upcoming, independent dramatic feature, "The Great Silence", set to be released in 2016.
