Lisa is a Computer Science Teacher and Educational Technology Specialist for Nursery-Grade 2. Previously, she worked as a first and second grade homeroom teacher. Lisa uses her classroom experiences to inform her work. She supports educators as they integrate technology into their classrooms and helps students develop computational thinking skills in innovative and authentic ways. Lisa believes that learning should be student-centered and experiential and that all classrooms should give students opportunities to play, explore, wonder, create and reflect.

Lisa is interested making connections with innovative educators and leaders, exploring opportunities for professional growth and designing curriculum in the areas of educational technology and computational thinking. She is also interested in progressive education and the design thinking process.

Lisa earned an BA in education, sociology and psychology from Knox College and a MA in Educational Technology from Michigan State University.
