Lisa Horvat
Toronto Canada
Lisa has been managing musicians since she was 17. Along with her enthusiasm for new music, she is passionate about the environment, technology for good, and video creation. That is why she had fun stints as Executive Producer at a web agency, headed up the online team at the World Wildlife Fund in Canada, was a continuing education instructor at Ryerson University, and VP of Storytelling and Digital Strategy at a video company.
Today though, she has found her happy place. She and her husband, Canadian composer, Frank Horvat, work side by side on music projects from concerts to tours to recording projects to videos and musical social media awareness campaigns on issues that are important to them. Managing Frank's career keeps her wearing many hats from strategy, grant writing and video creation, just to name a few.
Lisa has been making Frank Horvat’s music videos since 1996. Her videos are responsible for most of the 80,000+ YouTube views on Frank Horvat’s current channel (https://youtube.com/frankhorvatofficial) and another 10,000 on his original channel.
During the past two decades, she has won several awards and his videos have been shown on various third-party platforms including Bravo TV. Having studied filmmaking and broadcasting at Ryerson University, her career led her to her role as Vice President of Video Storytelling and Digital Strategy, at Strategic Storytellers, where she produced and directed videos for large corporate clients such as RBC, Capital One, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Today she is Frank’s full-time manager and she is most passionate about taking her skills to the art music world and bringing people closer to instrumental music, one video at a time.
Most recently she executive produced the Music for Self-Isolation documentary, which was premiered on Gramophone’s website and social media channels in May 2021. In less than a month, this video has more than 10,000 views on YouTube (https://youtu.be/OmpXrQ0pAr4) and Facebook combined.
