Previously, at the McGraw-Hill Companies, I managed public relations and communications for media businesses such as McGraw-Hill Construction and Aviation Week, and founded the McGraw-Hill Social Media Council. An early advocate and avid user of social media for business benefits, I aim to help companies achieve maximum ROI through social media efforts that are low-cost, collaborative, effective and fun by applying and sharing best practices.
I received my bachelor's degree in communication from the University of California, San Diego, and a masters in PR/communications from New York University, where I now teach a social media course and advise master's candidates on their thesis papers. I was also named one of PR News' 15-to-Watch in 2009.
