I've only recently discovered that I really love red. If I could, I'd just write and quilt all day. Well, that, and kiss my kids. None of those activities ever work out as planned, however, since the twins are getting too old to actually appreciate being kissed, and 6-year-old thinks it's better to run, leaving me wearing my best duck face.

Sometimes the dishes and disasters wait til morning. There are stories to write.

I'm trying to get hip and blog. Sort of hit and miss. I'm writing a book; well actually, I'm writing two. And some short stories. And possibly a kids series about three little kittens. No mittens involved.

I have a row quilt on the design wall made up of some UFOs that have been percolating since the mid 1990's. Sometimes it takes awhile before the quilt begins to speak. Sometimes the quilt has to scream to be heard over the din.

I'd love to see what color my floor really is under the mountain of toys the kids are using as an impromptu miniature golf course/obstacle course. I often want to simultaneously hug and strangle the inventor of Legos - barefoot parents, you know why on both counts.

In short, my life is normal.

And, thank you dear Heavenly Father, it's good.
