Lisa Polite

An experienced social worker and family therapist, Lisa Polite currently serves with Cape Counseling Services as Program Manager of Rainbow of Hope PCH. Located in Cape May County, New Jersey, Cape Counseling Services is recognized as a top provider of behavioral health services in the local community. The current responsibilities of Polite, with the Rainbow of Hope, include managing both administrative and clinical initiatives for a psychiatric community home. Patients of the community home include adolescents displaying behavioral and emotional issues. Prior to achieving her current position, Lisa Polite held leadership positions with Rainbow of Hope including Program Therapist and Program Coordinator. Active as a counselor with Cape Counseling Services since 2002, she holds extensive experience providing individualized therapy for adolescents under the age of 18. The past career experience of Polite includes working as an English Teacher with the Pennsauken Board of Education in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

Polite holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the College of Saint Elizabeth and a Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. The professional qualifications of Polite include holding the status of Clinical Member and Approved Supervisor of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also a Certified Trainer of Crisis Prevention Intervention and a skilled provider of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.

An active member of her community, Lisa Polite donates to the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Foundation and supports Kars for Kids. Her personal interests include gardening, baking, party planning, and spending time with her family. An avid jogger, she recently participated in the 5k race The Fast and the Furriest to benefit the Humane Society of Ocean City and the Ocean City Police K9 unit.
