I have one of the best jobs in the world; to research what truly fascinates me - crime patterns. I do this at the UCL Department of Security and Crime Science in London, easily my favourite city. My passion for Crime Science emerged from my background as a Crime Analyst, and I spend much of my professional life now communicating with practitioners to help them reduce crime in pragmatic and innovative ways.
My (part-time) PhD research focuses on patterns in time for street robbery. I am interested in these because I think they can help us to better understand the conditions under which guardianship (the presence of people as crime-inhibitors) work. Juggling this alongside family life keeps me pretty busy, but when I do have spare time I love indulging in food and wine with friends. To maintain harmony in my life I practice yoga, and music, dancing and travel will never be far from my heart. This the hub for everywhere I roam online...
